In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”), Vornado is voluntarily recalling all Brookstone brand Steam Bug Travel Irons manufactured between 2008 and 2013.
Hazard: The power cord can become damaged near the cord bushing, which can lead to overheating of the cord, posing fire and burn hazards. In addition, cord damage near the bushing can result in exposed copper wires, posing a shock hazard.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using this recalled travel iron and complete the form below to register for the recall and receive a shipping label to return your travel iron to Vornado . Once processed, you will receive a refund of $19.99 USD.
TAKE THESE STEPS TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY:
- Unplug Your Product and STOP Using the Product
- Verify your product is a Brookstone Steam Bug Model 606335. No other Brookstone units are recalled.
- Register and Return Your Product to Received your Refund
Procedure:
- Immediately discontinue the use of the product and place the product (including any separate pieces) in a box large enough that it can be sealed. The entire product must be returned to receive your refund.
- Fill out the form below. If you cannot fill out the form, please get in touch with us toll-free at (844)-205-7978 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CST or email us with the subject: “Brookstone Travel Iron Recall” to [email protected] to correspond with Vornado agents via email.
- Once your form is submitted, you will receive an email confirmation of the receipt. One of our consumer service agents will review your submission within 1-2 business days.
- Once reviewed, you will receive an email confirmation of the review from [email protected]
- Once your shipping label request has been processed, you will also receive an email from FedEx with your label within 1-2 hours of your submission being processed. Please note the FedEx Tracking Number, as it will allow you to document your return and confirm when we have received the return.
- Print the label and affix it to the outside of the box containing the product.
- Drop off the package at any FedEx pickup location.
- Please allow 4-6 weeks for your refund to be validated and the check to be issued.
NOTE: PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE RETURNING A BROOKSTONE STEAM BUG MODEL 606335. WE WILL NOT HONOR A REFUND ON A RETURNED ITEM THAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.
